Daniela and Simon live with their son Matteo in a three bedroomed Victorian terraced house in South Norwood, London. Daniela said she had always loved the idea of having a loft conversion and for years, she has been trying to convince Simon to have one.

“A loft conversion has always been on my wish list,” she said.  “We have lived in our three-bedroom home for about 15 years, but it was not until Matteo started growing up that we decided it would be nice to have more space.”

Econoloft’s expertise sealed the loft conversion deal.

After consulting with various building companies and looking at online reviews it was Econoloft’s knowledge and expertise that sealed the deal, said Daniala. “Our salesman was helpful and friendly, and he didn’t push us at all.  He was always patient and happy to explain everything to us several times if we needed it. Econoloft was also competitive on price too.”

The new loft conversion has created a bedroom, small study and a large bathroom and the Econoloft building team also impressed the family.  “We can’t praise the team highly enough,” said Daniela.  “We needed a few little tweaks to the original design like moving the eaves doors to a more central position and adding a roof window and we decided to have an exposed brick wall.  Nothing was too much trouble, and they were always happy to help, professional, polite and tidy.”

Room for everyone!

It is Matteo who has been lucky enough to get the fabulous new space as Daniela and Simon were happy to remain in their original master bedroom which features a stunning bay window.  He absolutely loves his new space which offers plenty of room for him to sleep, study and entertain his friends.

Daniela and Simon often have their Italian family over to stay and now they can offer lots more space for them to spread out as Matteo’s old bedroom is now used as an additional guest room - and so they are much more comfortable.

“We love our loft conversion as much as Matteo,” said Daniela, “and I especially love watching the sun rise and sunsets from our new top floor.  The problem is that now we want everywhere else to look as pristine as the loft and so we have decided to repaint the whole house and are doing every room from the loft down.

The loft conversion cost approximately £43,000 and the family believe it has added at least £70,000 to the value of their home.  Another Econoloft conversion adding space and value.
